A Southport venue is set to welcome an award-winning comedian to the stage.
Those around Southport looking for laughs this winter will not want to miss the chance to see renowned comic and national treasure Akmal Saleh on stage as he visits the city as part of his latest tour. Organisers of comedy shows and tours often look to professional print shops to design and produce printed marketing and promotional materials like flyers and posters.
Entitled “The Best of Akmal”, the new show combines the comedic works of Saleh, who has enjoyed a successful career in comedy and television for a quarter of a century. Designed for both old and new fans, the show compiles the greatest jokes and choicest cuts from Saleh’s repertoire to produce a full hour of comedy gold.
All material included in the performance has been hand-picked by the comedian and includes topics like his Arabic heritage, early experiences as an 11-year-old immigrant in Australia and his attitudes towards the modern world and religion.
An ARIA award-winning comic, Saleh has starred in both television and film, authored a book and toured both nationally and around the globe.
The Best of Akmal will be performed live on stage at SOPO located at 36 Scarborough Street in Queensland’s Southport on Friday, August 19. The show will start at 8 pm.
